Last week I had the privilege of going to the A.C. Discovery Village in Salem with Ava's kindergarten class. The sun was a shinin' and 34 kinders were super excited. Just Whitney and Ava were in my group, and we used up all the time we had. There's a great big huge outside play structure there and thanks to Mr. Sun, they got to explore that a bit too. We had lunch outside at the waterfront park, played on the playground, rode on the Carousel and then bus-tripped it home. It was a lovely day.
A drive to Portland on a sunny day is really a treat. I love the beauty of Oregon.
And I love the beauty of bowling shoes..or should I say that Ava does. She was in love with the bowling kicks she got to wear on Sunday at Big Al's in Beaverton. 'Big Al's' kinda sounds like a shady place to me..but fear not, it's a bowling alley/arcade/sports bar. Genius.
I'm not so sure if it was Ava who had more fun or us adults!
